A Few Favorite Things:

Just one of many bookcases in my childhood home.
Just one of many bookcases in my childhood home.

This photograph was composed and taken by me and a few of my favorite people, my sisters.  It’s my favorite room in my childhood home. It features some old family items:  a glass door bookcase, a library chair, and a train case once belonging to my mother, my favorite lady.

The photo is the header image for my blog.  We filled the train case up with books to tie into the site name, Library Luggage.  In point of fact, I tote books around in a vinyl shopping bag, not nearly as charming as vintage luggage.   Sunshine streaming in through the large bay window affords the perfect light for reading followed by an afternoon nap, my favorite activity.
